Stan Barber's Notes

1.1 Terabytes/day (a little over 100Mbps), Growth is 30% per month.

Cell loss is non-zero. 18 cells were lost one morning.

SNMP agent is a problem and Ameritech is working with vendor to get it fixed.

For more information, see http://web.aads.net/~jgs/nap-stats

Load chart has usual standard pattern. (5am CST is the lowest point)

In the future, a switch upgrade is planned. This switch will provide EPD and SVCs as well as bigger buffers.

More stats will be provided to customers.

Is there interest in using SVCs on naps? What about RFC 1577 (where Ameritech would provide the ARP server)?

UIC and Argonne have upgraded OC3c. Short milage OC3c is cheap from Ameritech.
