Current Topology

A Gigaswitch is at the heart of this NAP (still FDDI based) with Cisco C1141 concentrators for small traffic sources. There are also ethernet connections via Cisco Catalyst.

NyserNET, ATT, BBN, ARL, AGIS, Advantis, US Cyber, MFSDatanet, GlobalSprintlink UUNT, ESNET, EUnet (and MCI, Sprint, ANS)

Traffic Statistics

Peak: 66,000 packets per second on 5 minute samples.
Peak: 19,000,000 bytes per second on 5 minutes samples.

Second DEC Gigaswitch

Network Services that benefit by being at Aggregation Points (MBONE, WWW Caching)

ATM Swtich based NAP when robustness is practical. Bilal says this scares him.
