tRAwhoisd
Table of Contents
tRAwhoisd is the trivial RA whois daemon.
It caches IRR Data locally and supports data caching by FTP and RIPE mirroring software. It provides RAwhosid interface. It supports a subset of RAwhoisd protocol commands. There are two distinct communities of users:
- computer intensive users for performance and availability
- convenience for simple queries
This is a good solution for computer intensive users.
The advantages are clear: avoids network delay or an outage and is faster (by two orders of magnitude) than using the IRR over the Internet.
All of the RAToolSet software can use the tRAwhoisd.
