WorldCom and private DS-3s make up the backbone. Cascade switches and Cisco gear make up the network.

Currently, AGIS is DS-3 everywhere they exchange. They are at MAE-EAST (2 connections), MAE-WEST (2 connections?) and the major

AGIS has a peering policy that is pretty involved.

• Must be a DS-3 or backbone across country.
• Must be at the four naps.
• Must not be visable behind other folks.
• Must not be an AGIS customer
• etc.

Address space from AGIS blocks will be reclaimed at contract termination. All legacy address space will be reclaimed on New Year's eve this year.

Routing policy is very similiar to Sprint's.

Challenges

• Getting bandwith delivered on-time
• Getting equipment delivered on-time
• Getting enough electrical and co-location space
• Resolving interoperability issues
