
The NAP had an outage on 10/25 at 4:30pm. Worst case duration was 5.25 hours. Shortest duration was 2.5 hours. Caused by a hardware failure with repair difficulties. This was the only unscheduled outage in two years, which yields 99.98 uptime.
The FDDI ring is quiet.
Approximately 15% higher peaks since last NANOG. There are between 20 and 30 connections. Maximum of ~900 G/day. Per-hour traffic ranges from 10-120 Mbps. There is some bursty loss, but very few drops.
This is starting to be used locally on a limited basis.
