6500 Employees worldwide

Works in 100 countries.

Internet access in 50 countries (OpenNet is sometimes saw as the same thing).

45% of pops are outside the US.

Transition to frame-relay backbone is almost completed.

Transition to an OC-3 backbone is next.

IBM is in a number of locations includeing South America. Nothing in Africa.

There are current 20 interconnects in 14 counties.

Operations is ISO9000 certified (what does this mean?)

NY NOC backed by Chicago and Tampa.

Most traffic is still in US.

There is a lull in the summer time, but this last year there was more traffic due to the Olympics.

About 45% of the traffic from IBM exits to other providers.
