Address Allocation

• NAT gets a block of addresses from the provider’s block - “inside global addresses”
  • NAT attached to more than one provider would get one address block per attached provider
  • “inside global address” block gets aggregated into provider’s block
  • attracts incoming traffic to a particular NAT
